We take pride in our small contribution to your sustainable building project.
This page describes how we produce, package and ship our products, the practical choices we have made, and the evidence behind them. We update it as further aspects of our processes are formally documented. As a micro-company, our resources are limited, but our commitment is strong!
Produced and packed in Germany
Our products are produced to order and packed in Germany. Working closely with the people who make and pack our products and packaging allows us to develop practical solutions together and maintain long-standing production relationships.
Designed for lasting display
Our plaques are made from durable materials such as glass, natural stone and metal and are designed for long-term display. We focus on material quality, careful production and secure mounting. Our Stickers are made from the longest-lasting materials we can procure.
Protecting these products properly during transport is part of that approach: avoiding damage also avoids unnecessary replacement, material use and repeat shipping.
Packaging designed around the product
Our plaque packaging was developed specifically around the heavy, dense product and its mounting hardware. Closely fitted corrugated-cardboard inserts hold the components in position and minimise unnecessary empty space and movement during transport. The cartons and inserts are made from unbleached, unprinted corrugated cardboard. We use paper-based packing tape for closure, while exterior labelling is limited to what is needed for shipping, handling and identification. Small quantities of plastic are used only where they perform a necessary protective or securing function.
Packaging registration and recycling
>90% of our packaging is paper-fiber based with Class A recyclability (>95%).
Corrugated cardboard makes up the great majority of our packaging. For our standard plaque packaging, the supplier declares more than 95% paper-fibre content and Class A recyclability (>95%) for the cartons and inserts as delivered. Other packaging materials are used only where needed for protection or securing and should be separated according to local recycling rules.
